30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 7 Update

My 30 Day Blogging Challenge is going great. In one week I am up to 358427 on the Alexa.com rankings, which means 64252 places in 7 days!!!

There’s something bothering me though… I am a little behind on my schedule and don’t have the time to do things like I should, that is to spin the articles, create the videos and at the same time take care of my other moneymaking websites.

I gave it a good thought and I think I will delay posting articles to every 2 or 3 days.

The main reasons are:
- I can’t make the most of my articles in only one day (doing all it takes to get backlinks does take time) and that’s a shame considering that I really want to deliver quality information and I invest time in the process
- I want to give more time to people who want to read my posts and not overwhelm them
- I also want to interact with people from TSA and be an active contributor to the community
- I have a few brilliant ideas about some niche websites and want to start building them too

There are probably a few other reasons but this is what first came to my mind.

So this is going to turn into a “30 article challenge” over the next 2 months or so.

I have been enjoying your 30 day challenge blogging series and I must say I totally understand your predicaments as to the time you have to do all the thinks that are necessary in order to make and maintain a successful online presence. One step at a time I suppose is the answer… Congrats on your alexa results.

The results are better than I expected, I guess I kinda got used to online marketing and found a pretty good way of getting backlinks and help my site grow. Learning a strategy and how to use a few effective tools is very powerful!

Good for you realizing that posting every day would prevent you from tending to your business properly.
The 30 day (60 day) challenge will still make a huge difference!

Debbie, I’ve been thinking about it and I realized that “the underground” work (that is link building for each post) is way more important than new content every day. In other words, taking the time (a day or two) to build links to every new article is indeed the wise thing to do.

George I completely understand what you mean. I’m having the same issues. In my case I’m finding it hard to post to my blogs regularly, keep up with podcasting for my students as well as write my book. I also have to factor in my day job and taking care of my kids. I’m finding that I need to posts and podcast less frequently. I make a point of keeping up with TSA though: it’s a very positive experience and it’s fun!

Congratulations, George! I’m so glad to hear that you are climbing up the Alexa ladder. I know that I went from 801K before I joined the TSA to 532K when I checked it this morning after only three weeks in the system. Keep up the good work, and I can’t wait to hear more about your progress!

Congrats to you too, Steve! The beautiful thing about TSA is that you get backlinks through blog commenting that will stay there forever and that is incredibly important. Only good things can come out of this so let’s keep doing it!
